Here's what I have been up to lately.'

Here is a short description for how I created a tray out of Epoxy

Hello creative friends out there.

Here is the process that I use to create a tray out of Epoxy resin.

There are many different types of molds that you can purchase for this project.

I have chosen to make an oblong tray, using decals, and a wooden heart and some glitter.

I mix my resin in a 1:1 ratio, (4 ounces of resin and 4 ounces of hardener). Mix them together using slow motions making sure that you scrape the sides and the bottom of the mixing container you are using. Mix for 3-5 minutes, and spray the top of the mixture with 99% slcohol spray to bring bubbles to the top of mixture and pop the bubbles with a toothpick. Let it sit for a few minutes to make sure you have no bubbles.

Make sure your mold is clean and dry. Pour the resin mixture into your mold. If you are adding things onto the resin, make sure that you don’t have any bubbles in the resin when you add items. If you do, just poke them with a toothpick.

It will take 24 hours or more for the mold to totally set. After set you can take it out of the mold and enjoy your new tray.

If you have sharp edges you can sand them down with sandpaper.
