Thoughts for today

Today my focus is on the Life and Death of Jesus.

Jesus spent his life going from town to town speaking to the people about living a life of giving, loving, and sharing with others. He spoke of the things that his Father wanted for everyone.

Jesus taught everyone about the things God said through him to lead us all to freedom from out sins and living in the Promised land. He healed the blind, those who had infirmities that prevented them from living a true life of freedom.

He fed people who came to hear him speaking, with only 5 loaves of bread and 3 fish, he fed over 5000 people. He taught them the 10 Commandments, and encouraged others to follow them in their lives.

Jesus never lied, he never stole anything from anyone. He lived a simple and loving life. He was sinless in his life. Yet the Priests and the denied that he was the Son of God. So they made false accusations against him and sentenced him to death on the Cross.

He died on that Cross, forgiving those who put him there. They buried him in a tomb with a large stone across the door. Jesus told them all that in three days he would raise from the dead, and He did.

Before he went to his death he had one Last Supper with his Disciples. He gave them bread (which represented His Body and the Cup he shared (was the blood that was shed on the Cross. He told them that even though he would leave them, he would rise from the dead in three days.

For those who don’t know, this is the true mean of Easter. I am sure that He died on the cross for my sins, He forgives me of my sins, and He loves me everyday.

I look forward to the time when I will live with Jesus and all who have passed before me, in Heaven.

What did I need to do to obtain that Promise, I needed to confess my sins to him and seek him and he will forgive you. Just talk to Him like a friend, talk to Him daily and read His Word (the Bible) daily and he will guide your path to Him.
